A 23-year-old student of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan was killed and another seriously injured by a vigilante mob for allegedly "publishing blasphemous content online", local police said Thursday.
The incident occurred within the university premises. The campus was shut down following the incident until further notice and its hostels vacated to avoid a further escalation of violence.
At least 45 people had been arrested in connection with the incident by Thursday evening, according to Mardan District Police Officer Dr. Mian Saeed.
No case had been filed against the two students prior to the incident and police had not been investigating the two on blasphemy charges.
The mob instead seems to have been incited by rumors circulating among the university's student body.
Mardan's Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Mohammad Alam Shinwari said the deceased student, Mashal, had been accused of running Facebook pages "which allegedly published blasphemous content".
He was attacked by a large group of students and appears to have succumbed to a gunshot wound, the DIG said.
“The charged students then wanted to burn his body,” Shinwari said before police intervened.

'Beaten and bloody': eyewitnesses recount horror

An eyewitness at the scene of the incident said Mashal and Abdullah, two Mass Communication students, were attacked because they were believed to be "promoting the Ahmadi faith on Facebook".

The eyewitness said a mob of university students first surrounded Abdullah and forced him to recite verses from the Holy Quran. Although he repeatedly denied the accusation that he was an Ahmadi, the students beat him nonetheless.
The police, when alerted, reached the site of the attack and rescued Abdullah, after which the mob set its sights on Mashal, who was in the hostel at the time, the eyewitness said.
Mashal was beaten and shot by the mob and succumbed to the injuries he received.
Video footage of the incident showed Mashal lying on the floor surrounded by men. The student was not moving and his body bore marks of severe torture. Men could be seen kicking his lifeless body and beating it with wooden planks.
Towards the end of the video, he was pulled from his clothes by an unidentified man.

A student requesting anonymity said several leaders of the university's student bodies were part of the attacking mob.
One of Mashal's teachers later told Reuters that he was a passionate and critical student.
“He was brilliant and inquisitive, always complaining about the political system of the country, but I never heard him saying anything controversial against the religion,” the teacher said.

'Police unable to control the situation'

University administration official Fayaz Ali Shah confirmed that the mob of students had killed Mashal over allegations of 'blasphemy'.
He said over 20 officers had arrived at the scene, were unable to control the situation because there were so many students involved.

Hostel warden Muhammad Ali, recounting the incident, claimed that: "Three to four thousand students were approaching. I was alerted that they were approaching, so I closed the gates but they broke in, found Mashal and fired at him and started beating him."
Students said police had been alerted of the incident and were present on campus at the time. When asked why they didn't intervene, police said there were "too many people" in the mob for them to take on.

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB, aka Mother of All Bombs, most powerful non-nuclear bomb made so far) deliver a hell of a punch & blast radius of up to one mile(on each side)
The US military has dropped an enormous bomb in Afghanistan, according to four US military officials with direct knowledge of the mission.
A GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), nicknamed the "mother of all bombs," was dropped at 7:32 pm local time Thursday, the sources said. A MOAB is a 21,600-pound, GPS-guided munition that is America's most powerful non-nuclear bomb.
The bomb was dropped by an MC-130 aircraft, stationed in Afghanistan and operated by Air Force Special Operations Command, Pentagon spokesman Adam Stump told CNN.
Officials said the target was an ISIS cave and tunnel complex and personnel in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province.
"The United States takes the fight against ISIS very seriously and in order to defeat the group we must deny them operational space, which we did," White House press secretary Sean Spicer said later Thursday. The strike "targeted a system of tunnels and cave that ISIS fighters use to move around freely."
The military is currently assessing the damage. Gen. John Nicholson, commander of US forces in Afghanistan, signed off on the use of the bomb, according to the sources. The authority to deploy the weapon was granted to Nicholson by the commander of US Central Command, Gen. Joseph Votel, Stump said.
This is the first time a MOAB has been used in the battlefield, according to the US officials. This munition was developed during the Iraq War.

The Air Force has used a MOAB(Mother of All bomb) in combat for the first time in the history of War. The Pentagon reports that the bomb was dropped over an area in the province Nangarhar in Afghanistan where ISIS forces are suspected of holding a series of tunnels and buildings.
The Massive Ordinance Air Blast bomb is also known as the “Mother Of All Bombs” is the largest non-nuclear weapon ever designed. It was developed at the outset of the Iraq War but never deployed because of the possibility of high levels of civilian casualties.
The nature of the bomb makes it ineffective against hardened facilities, but extremely useful for a broad area of “softer” targets. The yield of a MOAB is equivalent to over 11 tons of TNT. While an enormous yield for a conventional weapon, it’s almost exactly 1/1000th the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Customers From Hell is a humorous gathering of shocking genuine encounters specialists have had with their customers. BuzzFeed addressed Bryce Bladon, the man behind the site, to discover more.

1.Bladon said that in spite of the fact that he's had generally restricted contact with his own customers from damnation, they're individuals most specialists will have experienced:

Any individual who spends a generous bit of their expert vocation outsourcing will keep running into them. The variable is what number of, how regularly, and how far you're willing to function with them. It's significant that it's not simply consultants who need to manage awful customers; be it retail laborers and crummy clients, or servers and baffling benefactors, the crappy demographic is a part of work that is practically unavoidable.
An entire scope of callings has utilized the site to air their disappointments with troublesome customers. Bladon:

It was at first originator based, however, it immediately sprouted into other innovative callings (e.g. copywriting, photography, and so forth). Carefully based work and IT are other enormous sources. We've generally had an extensive variety of submitters, however. Fast-food specialists, handymen – different kinds submit.

He singled out fashioners as having the most troublesome time speaking with their customers:

It's a moderately ethereal calling, as far as characterizing and imparting its value (and your mastery in it) to customers. There are principles, yet those guidelines can be broken by the best. Therefore, it's misjudged, and a ton of customers accept their own particular skill in it.

Donald Trump supporters knew what they were getting when they voted for him. He was not in the least bit shy about espousing his racist views about immigrants, and within his first week of office he signed an executive order that initiated a "Muslim Ban," to the disgust of many. During his campaign, Trump also made a lot of promises about a wall between Mexico and the United States too, and he's trying to follow through on what promises to be both an expensive and useless undertaking. And yet, some of his supporters are very unpleasantly surprised by what that will mean for them.
CNN produced a special segment on people who are effected by any border wall construction, not just the massive one planned by Trump's administration. They talked to several people, including a very sad couple in Brownsville, who ended up getting sandwiched between a piece of the U.S. border wall and Mexico's almost ten years ago, when the government seized their land, leaving them weirdly cut off from the country. The only access to their home is through a huge government controlled gate. D’Ann and Ray Loop say they feel incredibly isolated, and in fact, they are. After a fire broke out at their house, trucks were unable to reach them because of the gate.
Pat Bell of River Bend, Texas has a home right on the border. Though she voted for Trump (as did most of the residents in River Bend), she claims she never supported the border wall. This may be because she realized her house is on the wrong side of where the wall will be built, meaning she could end up in a situation just like the Loops. Or she did support it and is now trying to cover her tracks.
After telling the CNN reporters that fences and walls don't work, she says she's ready to politely fight for her rights. “Absolutely I would go to the people who are in charge and, you hate to say I would get a lawyer, but if it comes to that issue, you would,” Bell explains. Unfortunately for Bell, her chances of winning in such a case are bad, though it may take so many years to lose that Trump may be out of office by then. Though litigation can halt construction for years, most eminent domain seizure trials go the government's way. They're only obligated to pay you "fairly" for your land.
As you can see from the Loops' case, what the government considers "fair" may be entirely different from what you're expecting to hear. How do you think this case will turn out?

Delhi Daredevils is a fine mixture of talent from India and abroad. SportzPics/IPL
Delhi has been perennial underachievers in the IPL. After their playoff finish in 2012, when they looked the favorite to win the Trophy, they have not had a good history to share from the IPL.
The squad is an excellent mixture of talent from India and abroad, with some strategic buys adding to their strength.
So while the group brags of value Pacers like Pat Cummins, who was in form in the India vs. Australia Test Series., Mohammad Shami and Kagiso Rabada, the spin department are well-managed by Shahbaz Nadeem and Amit Mishra. Young guns like Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer add to the profundity of the squad, and skipper Zaheer Khan even at 38, has enough in the tank to trouble the batsmen.
DD also has the luxury of calling upon the services of quality batsmen like Sam Billings, Karun Nair, and Aditya Tare. All-rounders like Carlos Brathwaite and Angelo Mathews of the 'remember the name' fame.
The mentorship of Rahul Dravid is an advantage for the DD, and there is no reason that Delhi franchise can't do much better than they have in the IPL's nine-year-old history so far.

Saudi doctors were shocked to discover a lightbulb inside a patient’s stomach during surgery. The bulb had been the man for 11 years after he swallowed it as a child.
A 21-year-old Asian man went to the emergency department at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Hospital in the eastern Al-Ahsa, complaining of severe nausea, abdominal pain, high fever and fatigue, Al Weeam reports.
After doctors had carried out some examinations, a CT scan revealed a mysterious object his stomach.

AlArabiya_Eng:  doctors find lightbulb in man’s stomach that he swallowed 11 years ago …
The man was taken to surgery, where doctors made the shocking discovery that the object was actually a light bulb, Al Arabiya reports.
